With great sadness, we must report that legendary actor Bill Paxton has died at the age of 61.
The good friend of James Cameron who went on to star in some of Cameron’s biggest films like “The Terminator”, “Aliens”, “True Lies” and “Titanic”, reportedly underwent heart surgery yesterday and had complications post-op and suffered a fatal stroke. Bill Paxton died in the hospital due to those complications.
The 61-year-old actor left 2 children behind and a wife of 30 years. The family released this statement:
“It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery. A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker. Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable.”
He will be truly missed.
