As the T-1000 in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”, actor Robert Patrick perfectly brought to life what is considered to be one of the most iconic villians in motion picture history. Twenty-six years later, not only would the seasoned actor like to return to the Terminator franchise and appear in the recently announced Terminator 6, Robert Patrick enthusiastically seems willing to play any role they have to offer… maybe even a cameo!
During a New York Comic Con roundtable interview to promote “Lore”, an upcoming Amazon series Robert Patrick will star in (which is also produced by Terminator producer Gale Anne Hurd), Screen Rant asked Robert if he would be willing to return to the Terminator franchise. This was his reply:
ROBERT PATRICK: “Absolutely! Anybody [asks] me to do anything, return anywhere, I am there.”
It is certainly a short quote, but based on his very enthusiastic response, Robert Patrick does say he will “do anything” and does appear willing to play any role in the next Terminator film they might have to offer.
The question is would James Cameron, Tim Miller and David Ellison allow Robert to appear in a small role in T6, even if the role has nothing to do with the genesis of the T-1000 prototype Terminator? Or would Cameron, Miller and Ellison feel an appearance like that would confuse audiences (considering T6 is a direct sequel to T2). We’ll just have to wait and see.
We’ll be back.
