Ever since the credits rolled back in 1991 for “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”, fans have been dreaming of the day that the creator of our favorite franchise would be back to write and direct another Terminator movie. While the idea of James Cameron directing might never come true, the more we learn about the development of Terminator 6, the more it appears the story will indeed come from the mind of Cameron himself.
Unlike “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” and “Terminator Salvation”, fans everywhere knew that the creator of our favorite franchise, James Cameron actually had some involvement with the latest Terminator film “Terminator Genisys”. Acknowledging that his goal was “being loosely attached to the film” without credit, all while accepting meetings between him and Skydance C.E.O. David Ellison (as well as writer Laeta Kalogridis) and offering story contributions, it is factual to say that Cameron did indeed help shape what “Terminator Genisys” ultimately became.
When “News Corp Australia Network” (NCAN) sat down recently with Terminator creator James Cameron, the visionary director revealed not only that he wanted “Terminator 6” to be the start of a new trilogy, but hinted on what fans might expect in his new series of films. And what we can expect is a transition from the old Terminator films, to a brand new storyline.

When the co-owner of Legacy Effects and a disciple of Stan Winston, John Rosengrant first broke down the story elements of “Terminator Genisys” in the aspect of pratical effect needs, there was a section that caught his eye. It was when the Guardian Terminator and Sarah Connor were lugging around a young, deactivated Arnold T-800 Terminator in a back of an armored car in 1984. Logic dictated to Rosengrant that the creation of this Terminator corpse would best be accomplished with practical effects, so John and his team took upon the task of building a prosthetic dummy of an 1984 Arnold Schwarzenegger. So how did Legacy effects accomplish such a seemingly insurmountable task?
