Last night at the Paramount Theatre in Los Angeles, California, the creator of the Terminator franchise James Cameron sat on stage with his friend and “Deadpool” director Tim Miller to discuss their future plans for an untitled new Terminator film we like to call Terminator 6. While the majority of the bullet points were covered within the Hollywood news feed… Linda Hamilton returns, Tim Miller directs, James Cameron produces (all reported HERE)… there was a bombshell involving Arnold Schwarzenegger that was all but ignored by the media. Luckily for Terminator fans however, one of our Army was actually in sitting in attendance and here is his report:
She’s back! Are we dreaming! Can someone pinch us? No this is happening Terminator fans! Actress Linda Hamilton, star of “The Terminator” and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” is returning to the franchise one again as Sarah Connor in the next Terminator film!

While Terminator fans eagerly await for Skydance & Paramount to officially announce their production schedule and release date for Terminator 6, our e-mail inbox has recently received some interesting informational tidbits about the next anticipated installment in our favorite franchise! With some of this information received being verified news, and some of it being unsubstantiated rumors, it would be a dereliction of our duties not to report everything we have learned to our Army… especially when fans are hungering for new information about T6!
Once in a while we get surprises in our e-mail inbox, and today was one of those days. Have you ever wondered what the battle-damaged 1984 “young Arnold” Terminator would have looked like in the 2015 film Terminator Genisys, if the movie was Rated R instead of PG-13? Well wonder no longer Terminator fans!
In promotion of the 3D theatrical re-release of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”, the creator of our favorite franchise had a conversation with the popular entertainment news magazine Entertainment Weekly. The subject of Terminator 6 naturally came up, and how likely was it really going to happen. (It seemed like the interviewer was skeptical about T6.)
When Terminator Genisys was theatrically released the summer of 2015, the movie received backlash from both critics and the public. While some critics like Tom Long at the Detroit News said ‘Terminator Genisys’ was “the first fully worthy successor to Cameron’s original films” and Terminator fans polled at Skynet’s Army overwhelmingly ranked it as their third favorite Terminator film, the majority of critics and public lampooned it (and its actors), making Genisys the unofficial punching bag of 2015.
In promotion of Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D debuting in theaters around the world this August 25th, the creator of the Terminator franchise, James Cameron, did a Facebook Live Q&A session today where Cameron got to answer questions asked by Terminator fans across the world. One of these questions dealt with the new upcoming Terminator Trilogy Cameron is developing with Skydance and inquired if Cameron ever considered Arnold Schwarzenegger playing a human.
First it was “Hasta La Vista” Paramount Pictures. Now, it’s “I’m back!” After a long running partnership between Skydance and Paramount Pictures was seemingly coming to a close this year (freeing up Skydance to shop movie projects to any studio in the world), Skydance decided to sign a new deal with… you guessed it.. Paramount Pictures! And they are bringing James Cameron’s new Terminator trilogy with them.
Hot off the heels of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s reveal to the world that Terminator 6 will start shooting “in the beginning of next year“, in another interview, Arnold has just revealed the precise month they will begin filming T6!
What an exciting time! As we wait for an announcement soon from David Ellison at Skydance in regards to his and James Cameron’s plans for Terminator 6 , it appears actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has partially ‘let the cat out of the bag’! Per our friends at TheArnoldFans.com, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger made some exciting reveals about the next film in the Terminator franchise, including the plan to start filming the beginning of next year, early in 2018!
When “News Corp Australia Network” (NCAN) sat down recently with Terminator creator James Cameron, the visionary director revealed not only that he wanted “Terminator 6” to be the start of a new trilogy, but hinted on what fans might expect in his new series of films. And what we can expect is a transition from the old Terminator films, to a brand new storyline.
